I started in the wealth management business in 1999, obtaining my Ohio insurance license and my first Securities license. In the course of my 20+ years of experience, I have always focused on conducting research, expanding and enhancing my knowledge of investments strategies, and financial planning concepts. To that end, I have obtained two professional designations. The RICP® or Retirement Income Certified Professional was conferred by the American College in 2014. This designation reflects the retirement planning focus in my practice. My other designation, AIF® or Accredited Investment Fiduciary, was conferred by Fi360 in 2020, with a focus on understanding fiduciary responsibility concepts in investment management.
When you come to my office, you will notice images of famous castles. My appreciation of the architecture and history of castles started in the early 1980’s as a 5th grader on a family trip across Europe. I have always been awed by the “permanency” of these centuries-old structures. Incorporating “Fortress” in my company name and branding was a way to connect the concept of the durability of castles with the theme of “crafting your families’ financial stronghold” by attempting to build investment portfolios that stand the test of time through the ups and downs of market cycles.
